            FAQs

            General

            How does ClientView Live work?

Your firm's server initiates all contact with the secure ClientView Live portal, checking to see if your clients have any data requests.

            1. Your client enters a username and password on the login page. Encrypted credentials are sent to the secure ClientView Live portal.
            2. The ClientView Live Portal receives the credentials then "talks" to the Junxure database for your client's encrypted data packet.
            3. Your firm's server send live encrypted data to the secure ClientView Live portal.
            4. Your client's web browser displays his live, private home page.

If you client requests a live report during his/her session, a request is sent to the ClientView Live portal and then to your firm's database. The encrypted copy of the report is then sent back to the client.

Note: There is never a direct connection between your clients' computers and your firm's server. Your clients can only view live data on your firm's server via the secure ClientView Live portal.

How can I set my clients up to use ClientView Live?

You can set up a single client or a group of clients to access ClientView Live. To set up a single client, go to Client Setup > Client Tasks.

Locate the client and under the ClientView Access column, place a check in the box to grant access. (You may remove selected clients to remove access to ClientView Live).

The client's information populates the bottom half of the screen. Use the drop down to enable (or disable) the client's access to ClientView Live.

To set up a group of contacts, see the ClientView Live Task Wizard.

Can I change my security settings?

Yes. The security settings to restrict certain areas of ClientView Live are located in Junxure at System Setup > Setup User Rights.

There are three categories that the restrictions can be located under: ClientView, Main Menu - Database Tools, and Main Menu - Letters. See ClientView Live Security for details on the options.

What is the difference between a Mini Master and a Master User?

Mini Master: At your clients’ discretion, access to ClientView Live may be granted to personal accountants, attorneys or other associated professionals as desired. These users are called Mini Masters. The Mini Master does not necessarily have to be an actual client; however, they must have a record in Junxure and have ClientView Live access enabled. Mini Masters have access to a client's entire website.

A Master User is someone in your office listed in System Setup who has access to client information as assigned in User Rights.

How do I get account values to display and match what is in Junxure?

Use the Update Accounts feature. You can access this tool in Junxure on the contact’s Account tab or on the ClientView Live desktop at the Client Setup > Update Accounts.

How do I change my client's primary email address?

Disable the client's access (See Q2 in this FAQ), change the email address in Junxure, and then re-enable the client's access. This allows the data stored in the tables to be properly cleared.

What is the idle timeout for the website?

            20 minutes.

            Access

My account has been locked after I've entered an incorrect password too many times. How do I unlock my account?

As a security measure, there is a lockout period of 20 minutes that occurs after 5 failed attempts to log in. During this lockout period, if you attempt to log in, you'll see a timer that displays the number of minutes until you can attempt to log in again.

            How do I change a client's password?

You can disable the user and reset the password completely, or use the Manage ClientView Access button and check the password from there.
